2017 Leonardo de Gregorio
2017 Leonardo de Gregorio
Spruce/wooden core/spruce double top
Indian Rosewood back and sides. Laminated sides
650 scale
Very good condition
Country of Origin: Italy
When I was still a student, hearing and playing my first de Gregorio guitar blew my mind. The guitar is a pure-blood double top: extremely loud, balanced, powerful, woody and natural sounding with deep sonorities and excellent sustain. De Gregorio used a secret wooden core for the double top. Nowadays he uses Nomex instead of wood. Nomex should be a little bit more refined sounding, and wooden core should be more natural and woody sounding. While everyone can be the judge between wood vs. nomex, what is unbeatable about this guitar is the price. There is currently a listing of a Nomex de Gregorio available for €9,500.
